Fallness

I need the world to stop for a few days and allow me to catch up.  Three or four days would do the trick.  Life is crazy busy and crazy fun around here, and we love it like that!  I've taken time out for myself this week to catch my breath and to share some fun from my favorite season of the year.  Here's to football, flag football, basketball, pumpkins, trick-or-treating, and those that make me proud.  Nice to see you, November.

And now you know Hannah's outfit of choice for the season.

Happy Retirement, Dad

I am so excited that my Dad has two more days of work and then it's full-time Grampa from now on. Happy Retirement, Dad.
Thanks for the sacrifics, the hard work, and the example that you've made.
Now buy that darn plane ticket and get out here! There is football to be watched, dances to be had, horse riding to be observed, school lunches to be eaten, Sea Worlds to visit, church performances to be cheered, and my stairwell needs painted!
Love you to the moon and back 100,000,000 times.

Because you deserve it...

Daddy and I had the pleasure of giving you a birthday party...

because you deserve it!

Daddy took the day off and Aunt Chris and Uncle Jimbo came early to help Mommy with the preparations...

because you deserve it!

My heart was full while watching your excitement as you waited for your quests to arrive...

because you deserve it!

You laughed and giggled and made fun memories...

because you deserve it!

You swam and played and enjoyed your new friends...

because you deserve it!

You danced and sang and entertained the crowd...

 because you deserve it!

You opened oodles of presents and oohed and ahhed over each one of them...

because you deserve it!

You had a beautiful cake with 11 pink candles

and you clapped for yourself...

because you deserve it!

God has blessed you recently with amazing, Godly, and precious new friends and
Haley Grace...
you deserve it!
I love you, sweet girl.

The First Day of School

We are so blessed to be going to a new school (for us) this year.  The welcome has been unbelievable and I think that our only regret will be that we didn't do this sooner.  The atmosphere is unlike anything that I have ever seen before.  I really didn't know that such a kind of place existed.
Honestly.
We attended two parties hosted by school families before the year even began.  At these parties, the girls were able to meet all of the girls in their classes which obviously made the first day of school so much easier.
We've been prayed for, loved on, and totally blown away by this whole experience.
God is good.
Really, really, God.

Hannah when we went to meet Mrs. Ross before school started.

Haley with Miss Grossman.

Two very excited, but nervous, girls.

Our precious next door neighbors, Megan, Paige and Sara.

It's only been one day, but so far, so good.  I've officially gone back to 5th grade now.  From the looks of what was brought home last night, I think that I've found my afternoon job.
Haley just advanced from 4th grade to 9th grade, I believe.
Lord have mercy.
